Teacher Training Programme (South Event)

‘Connecting Classrooms with Communities’

Teacher Training for KS3 & KS4 Levels

How can teachers best demonstrate that Islam is indeed a complete way of life?  Have you ever wondered how your pupils will respond to contemporary challenges outside the classroom?

Muslim teachers have a crucial role to play in nurturing individuals who are upstanding citizens precisely because they are secure in their faith.

If you are a teacher interested in widening your school curriculum and/or empowering your pupils to put their learning into practice beyond the classroom, then this half-day training is essential for you attend.

Please note teachers wishing to deliver our ground-breaking ‘Ilm 2 ‘Amal Curriculum & Campaign Toolkits, are required to first attend this training.

Course Outline

In exchange for investing four hours of your time, our trainers will equip you as front-line educators with the necessary skills to better educate your pupils with a ‘holistic’ understanding of Islam. By identifying gaps in existing curricula, teachers will explore niche yet important subject matters which can easily be incorporated into Islamic Studies such as

    • Huqūq-Allah (Rights of Allah) Vs Huqūq’l ‘Ibād (Rights of Others):- Sharī‘ah Law; Deen beyond ‘Ibādāt etc.
    • Financial matters (mu ‘āmalāt): - Wealth & Halāl earnings, Islamic Wills, Zakāh, Interest (ribā), Debt etc.
    • Social dealings (mu ‘āsharāt): - Presenting Islam, Effective Presentational Skills, Voting, Civic Engagement, Animal Rights, Sadaqah, Environment-friendly, Caring for the Elderly, etc

Should learning be restricted to the four walls of the classroom? We don’t think so! These lessons are innovative, well planned, and interactive and are designed to benefit pupils with numerous ‘calls to action’.

We will further demonstrate the potential of our ‘Ilm 2 ‘Amal’ curriculum and how your pupils can go beyond the classroom to benefit not only themselves but also wider society – starting with the community within the school, and then encompassing parents at home as well as the neighbouring community.

We have partnered with reputable charities to offer numerous volunteering opportunities for your class of activists to grasp. For example, partnering with the RSPCA for a campaign on animal rights, and partnering with local Salvation Army shelters to feed the needy.

We will walk you through our pre-designed and easy-to-implement campaign toolkits which you can action at your own pace. By the end of this session, you can be sure to walk away well-equipped with all you need to know in order to empower you pupils to demonstrate Islamic values for the benefit of wider society.
