1st Ethical Charitable Trust

The 1st Ethical Charitable Trust (registered charity number 1098185) is the primary method through which the 1st Ethical Group assists good causes.

One of the central objectives of the Charitable Trust is to fund sustainable infrastructure projects (providing wells, schools, homes etc.) in under developed countries. Another key objective of the Charitable Trust is to facilitate the application of orthodox shariah principles to contemporary financial and legal issues.

In this regard the Charitable Trust regularly hosts seminars and lectures in community centres, universities, churches and mosques. Topics can be as diverse as explaining how to calculate Zakah on modern financial assets, to an introduction to shariah compliant wills, to explaining the benefits of equity based finance, to even contrasting the difference between a conventional and shariah compliant contract.
