Waqaus heads up 1st Ethical’s nationwide team of project co-ordinators and is ultimately responsible for forging and deepening our numerous links with Mosques, Imams and Muslim schools throughout Britain.
After graduating in 2004 with a First Class in BSc (Hons) Business Management Studies, Waqaus spent two years with Morgan Kai Group, a management training & consultancy firm in Leeds, before embarking upon on a lifelong ambition to travel the world spending a year moving across Europe, the Middle East, Far East Asia and America.
Waqaus has previously worked for Building Bridges Pendle, where he developed an innovative curriculum for local seminaries, which later achieved national recognition through the Islamic Citizenship Education (ICE) programme and was incorporated into a national syllabus. Waqaus is also a co-founding member of thinkBRITE Services and is frequently invited by Edge Hill University to deliver myth-busting sessions on Islam & British Muslim culture to trainee teachers.
Waqaus currently resides with his family in East Lancashire.
