After completing the memorisation of the Qur’an, Haroon went on to study for a degree in Islamic Sciences and Arabic Language & Literature at the Institute of Knowledge & Guidance in Blackburn.
Having then enrolled at the University of Manchester, Haroon graduated with a First Class Honours in Economics, Accounting and Finance. Whilst at University Haroon was awarded the prestigious national ‘Finance Student of the year 2007’ award from The Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) in association with theaccountancyjob.com, a leading financial job website. Haroon shares a passion for Islamic Finance and tax matters.
Having successfully completed a full-time 12 month internship with the 1stEthical Charitable Trust, Haroon is now working with us on an ad-hoc part-time basis, having successfully been accepted onto a trainee Chartered Accountant role with accountants Ernst and Young LLP in their Corporate Tax division.
