Remember all those rabble-rousing nonsensical stories about Muslim terror plots against the Pope and bacon sandwiches causing Muslim riots and every other Daily Mail fantasy that stressed Muslims out in the last few years?
Well, at long last a Muslim group – Engage – did something about it.
The Leveson Enquiry has come at the right time giving British Muslims an unexpected opportunity to air their complaints against the unacceptable license that the media has given itself to print lies, slander and create tension and indeed danger for minority groups.
This has to be challenged, and be challenged now. Don’t discount your complaint. Indeed in the words of Engage themselves:
We keenly encourage readers to respond to inaccurate, unfair or discriminatory reporting in the British media by writing letters to the editor or taking their complaints to the Press Complaints Commission. We take an interest in such cases, the nature of the complaint, and resolution, if any.

It seems to me that the no win no fee syndrom has spread its bat wings into all aspects of those jumping on the bandwagon of personal gain for whatever motive. However it has now opened the door for everyone to quell the media lie fabrications. For what is good for islam is good for the BNP EDL and other right wing and far left wing groups and victims of allegations prior to conviction etc etc. Good now perhaps everyone can squash the BBC propeganda and that generated by the press.
